About The Position

Join the fun, fast-paced team at Destination Geneva National, home to 54 holes of legendary golf designed by icons Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Lee Trevino and a one-acre Himalayas style putting course. As a Turfgrass Intern, you will help oversee GN's meticulously manicured bent grass tees, fairways, greens, and expansive practice area including two lakeside ranges and three practice greens. This is a five-to-six-month internship. Ideal candidates will be able to work through September or October. Complimentary housing and same-day pay are available. Destination GN hosts 54 holes of signature golf by Palmer, Player and Trevino, a one-acre Himalayas-style putting course, award-winning dining and event venues, a lakeside driving range, sprawling semi-private Clubhouse with sweeping verandas, and sleek on-course executive suites and cottages plus a 146-room hotel with saltwater pools and marina.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Certificate or 2- or 4-year Turfgrass/Agronomy/Agriscience/Horticulture degree program
• Two-plus years of golf course Grounds experience

Responsibilities

• Daily course maintenance
• Turfgrass cultural programs
• Daily course set-up
• Routine calibration of spreaders and sprayers
• Irrigation operation and repairs
• Pesticide and fertilizer applications
• Assisting in and managing various projects
• All aspects of golf course management
• Natural/Native area management
