About The Position

Join the fun, fast-paced team at Destination Geneva National, home to 54 holes of legendary golf designed by icons Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Lee Trevino and a one-acre Himalayas style putting course. As a Turfgrass Intern, you will help oversee GN's meticulously manicured bent grass tees, fairways, greens, and expansive practice area including two lakeside ranges and three practice greens. This is a five-to-six-month internship. Ideal candidates will be able to work through September or October. Complimentary housing and same-day pay are available.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in Certificate or 2- or 4-year Turfgrass/Agronomy/Agriscience/Horticulture degree program
Two-plus years of golf course Grounds experience

Nice To Haves

Prior golf course experience preferred but not required
Knowledge of the game of golf is a benefit

Responsibilities

Daily course maintenance
Turfgrass cultural programs
Daily course set-up
Routine calibration of spreaders and sprayers
Irrigation operation and repairs
Pesticide and fertilizer applications
Assisting in and managing various projects
All aspects of golf course management
Natural/Native area management
