About The Position
Performs fertilization and pest management on lawns using spray and injection tools. The role involves cultivating careers and fertilizing futures by properly identifying and diagnosing insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and pest-prone areas. The technician will communicate with and educate clients regarding diagnoses and prescribed pest control and fertilization services. Continuous monitoring of lawn health quality and fertilizing methods after application, with communication of progress to customers and supervisors, is also a key duty. The role requires driving, using, maintaining, and properly operating equipment, including a truck and sprayer. Your office is outdoors, and you get a new view every day!
Requirements
- Love of the outdoors
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Qualified Plant Health Care Tech training program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Valid driver's license
Nice To Haves
- Background in Lawn/Turf, Horticulture or Landscaping
- Turf, Weed, Tree and shrub ID, Pathology and knowledge of turf or tree physiology
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
Responsibilities
