About The Position

Directs crew members and equipment and plans and executes assigned work or tasks. Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems. Safely and productively lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for our clients. This includes but is not limited to: Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E) process, Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy, Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems, and Removal of hazardous trees. The role also involves mentoring crew members through the Davey Career Development Program and properly maintaining, preparing, and operating all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more. Your office is outdoors, and you get a new view every day!

Requirements

Previous tree climbing experience
Previous experience as a Crew Leader or Foreman in tree care
Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire

Nice To Haves

Love of the outdoors
Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
Relevant CDL, pesticide applicator's license and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
ISA Certified Arborist ®, ISA Certified Tree Worker ®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional ®
