About The Position

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented summer student to assist with the integration of policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions within our organization. This role will involve reviewing existing documentation, identifying gaps, and proposing improvements to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Some travel to various sites may be required.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Business Administration, Public Policy, Management, or a related field);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English;
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with document management systems;
  • Proactive approach to learning and willingness to take initiative;
  • Experience in policy analysis or procedure development (through internships or coursework);
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory standards related to agri-food, food science, and/or finance;
  • Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various departments to collect and review existing policies, SOPs, and work instructions;
  • Identify gaps and inconsistencies in current documentation and recommend improvement solutions;
  • Assist in the development and revision of policies, SOPs, and work instructions to align them with best practices and regulatory requirements;
  • Conduct research on industry standards and benchmarks to improve our documentation processes;
  • Support training initiatives by creating user-friendly guides and resources that facilitate understanding of new procedures;
  • Participate in meetings with stakeholders to gather feedback and insights on existing processes;
  • Maintain organized records of all documentation and revisions for easy access and reference;
  • Assist in creating a tracking system to monitor the implementation of new policies and procedures.
