About The Position

The TT Stock Prep Setup Technician will set up and operate a variety of machine tools, and fit and assemble parts to fabricate or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines. This role involves setting up and adjusting Truck Tire Cutting and BAC/Apex bead machines equipment to specification for quality and production. The technician will monitor assigned machines to maintain productive efficiency and reduce downtime on quality and production systems. They will utilize electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic knowledge to set up and maintain automated systems for quality and production, including beadwire detectors, 2D laser systems, KEYENCE, dog ear detection, and weight systems on BACs, and will also develop similar systems in PCT and Hot Prep. Additionally, the technician will direct other setup technicians on best practices and training for systems in Hot/Cold Prep and PCT, supervise and audit current checks on automated systems, and maintain accurate daily records on each machine. Effective communication with Floor Supervisors, Lead Supervisors, and other Setup Technicians is crucial when malfunctions or breakdowns occur. The role also includes coordinating and performing routine scheduled MTC checks and corrections, performing work as directed by leadership related to machine efficiency and high-quality production, and scheduling critical parts and repairs of machines with PM. Ensuring all ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored is also a key responsibility. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED and 1 year Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years mechanical experience.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Responsibilities

Sets up and operates variety of machine tools, and fits and assembles parts to fabricate or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines.
Setup and adjust all Truck Tire Cutting, BAC/ Apex bead machines equipment to specification for quality and production.
Make surveillance of assigned machines to maintain productive efficiency and utilize skills to reduce downtime on quality and production systems.
Utilize electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic knowledge to setup, and maintain automated systems for quality and production (Beadwire detector, 2D laser systems, KEYENCE, Dog ear detection, wight systems on BACs as well as develop similar systems in PCT and Hot Prep).
Direct other setup techs as needed on best ways, practices, and trainings on systems in Hot/Cold Prep and PCT.
Supervise and audit current checks on automated systems (BCID and function checks)
Maintain accurate daily records on each machine so that a history of all breakdowns, changes, adjustments and other pertinent information is documented for reference.
Effectively communicate with Floor Supervisor, Lead Supervisor and other Setup Technicians when any malfunction or breakdown occurs.
Coordinate and perform routine scheduled MTC checks and corrections for systems.
Perform work as directed by Lead Supervisor and/or Department Manager related to machine efficiency and high quality production.
Schedule critical parts and repairs of machines with PM.
Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.
