The TT Quality Technician will be responsible for a multitude of roles within the final finish and support areas. This role will require the ability to perform warranty and general investigation work, sectioning and analysis of cut tire sections, over-inspection of 100% inspection product, and dock release prior to shipment. The QA Technician will be responsible for classifying and inspecting tires according to QMD standards, notifying appropriate personnel of scrap tires passed by 100% inspectors, and performing dock audits on all OE tread codes. This role involves being cross-trained to perform all QA technician inspection jobs, including over-inspection, tire cutting, CTD checks, first tire checks, audits, and CS1. The technician will perform First Tire Check to verify mold specifications and ensure tire information is legible and correct. Additionally, they will perform dirty mold audits-serial checks and follow all plant rules, departmental safety policies, environmental policies, and chemical handling procedures, including familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). The QA Technician will adhere to standard practices for their specific job to ensure quality production and perform other duties as directed by the Chief Inspector or QA Manager. Ensuring all ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored is also a key responsibility.
