About The Position

The TT Engineering Supervisor Quality Management will ensure that the Quality Control plan is in place and effective for assigned area(s) and that work instructions are accurate and in compliance with Central PoMs and IATF. This role ensures Plant compliance to Corporate Quality standards and Strategic Quality Objectives, provides support to the assigned area management team, sister plants, and Central and local requests. The position leads in data analysis and provides support for root cause evaluation, supervises Quality Technicians, CTD Analysis Tech, and Tire Cutter Technicians. The role analyzes benchmark results of internal cross-plant comparisons concerning quality objectives and cost using the Global Quality Score Card (GQSC), Central Controlling or Customer Service reports. It performs statistical and capability analysis of data, puts it into presentation format with reporting, and leads and assists with TS16949 certification and compliance. The position also leads, supports, and assists with local QMS requirements, and departmental work instructions (creation, revision and maintenance) along with other Quality Objectives. It provides support and assistance with 4D and 8D investigations and root cause analysis, supports and promotes local and global Quality initiatives, and steers and leads Quality projects. The role ensures that yearly assigned Gauge R&R studies are performed and reported, provides support and follow-up analysis for FOCUS and FAM topics, and performs capability studies and analysis for NAR new equipment and process release. It prepares for and supports yearly audits including Internal, Customer, PPS and IATF, and provides support for PCT, sister plants and Central requests. The role is responsible for tracking audit findings for assigned areas and follow-up so that corrective actions are in place and implemented according to committed timing. The position performs other duties as directed by the QA Engineering Group Leader and QM Department Manager, initiates corrective actions for deviations from set Quality objectives, and controls their effectiveness and sustainability through the application of standard Quality Core Tools such as Structured Problem Solving (SPS), 8D, Lessons Learned, Audits, FMEA. Limited Local and International Travel is expected. The role ensures all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored. NOTE: May not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, Quality Engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years QA experience preferred.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job posting.
