About The Position

The TST Specialist will participate in case consultations regarding children and adults with autism and IDD who are experiencing difficulties in their community settings due to medical, behavioral, or psychiatric issues. This role requires a strong understanding of the Medicaid Waiver system (HCS, CLASS, MDCP, TxHML), LMHA and LIDDA functions, and available support resources for individuals and families. The position also involves identifying training needs for caregivers, developing and delivering training sessions regularly, both virtually and in person. A key aspect of the role is the organized collection, tracking, and reporting of data from consults and training. Information gathering and dissemination are crucial, and the specialist will act as a team member and resource for those involved in the system of care.

Requirements

  • Meets qualifications for QIDP
  • Bachelor's degree in human service field
  • Valid Texas Driver’s license
  • Experience in the field of IDD/autism services
  • Computer Skills
  • Good knowledge of the Medicaid Waiver system (HCS, CLASS, MDCP, TxHML), LMHA and LIDDA functions, and support resources for both individuals and families.
  • Familiarity with various topics related to support and services for individuals of all ages who have IDD or autism.
