About The Position

The TST Specialist will participate in case consultations regarding children and adults with autism and IDD who are having difficulties in their community settings due to medical, behavioral, or psychiatric issues. Consultations require good knowledge of the Medicaid Waiver system (HCS, CLASS, MDCP, TxHML), LMHA and LIDDA functions, and support resources for both individuals and families. The position requires a familiarity with various topics related to support and services for individuals of all ages who have IDD or autism. The person will identify training needs of caregivers, develop trainings, and present trainings on a regular basis both virtually and in person. The person will be organized with collection, tracking, and reporting of data collected during consults and training. Information gathering and dissemination are key components of the role. The person will be a team member who acts as a resource for those involved in the system of care.

Requirements

• Meets qualifications for QIDP
• Bachelor's degree in human service field
• Valid Texas Driver’s license
• Experience in the field of IDD/autism services
• Computer Skills

• Experience with IDD services and related state/federal agencies/funding
