About The Position

The Trust Operations Specialist I will be responsible for operational support for a fast-growing wealth management department.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • Computer competency required
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, problem-solving and Microsoft Office skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree in finance, business, accounting, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process various contributions, including retirement, dividend & interest payments, ACH receipts, new account transfers, and various checks received.
  • Process various distributions, including customer requests, IRA and retirement distributions, bill paying, ACH distributions and various check disbursements.
  • Processes various securities and cash-related transactions, including setting up securities, managing trade executions and settlements, handling dividend/interest postings, and researching and posting capital structure changes in securities.
  • Ensuring accuracy of data input and output, researching and resolving problems, and potentially contacting clients.
  • Maintains trust accounts, reconciles balances with custodians, and performs daily balancing.
  • Manages risks associated with unmatched transactions and problem solving.
  • Works with Portfolio Managers, Trust Officer, Administrative Assistant, and customers to process and complete customer requests.
  • Balances daily work items and department accounts.
  • Performs general office duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management database systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work.
  • Files and retrieves corporate documents, records, and reports.
  • Opens, sorts, and distributes incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.
