About The Position

As a Trust Administrator with RBC Royal Trust, RBC Wealth Management, you will be responsible for supporting the Relationship Managers in the Institutional Trust Services team with the administration of an assigned book of business. This role provides timely, efficient, and accurate administration to ensure a seamless delivery of client service. Teamwork is an important skill in this role, as success is dependent on working in cooperation with others.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent
  • Computer literate
  • Effective written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and with others, perceived as a team player
  • Exhibits sound judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Can work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role and/or 1-3 years’ experience in the Banking or Investment Industry
  • Successful completion of CSC (Canadian Securities Course)
  • Trust & Estates Professional designation
  • Successful completion of Royal Trust, Trust Administrator Certificate (or to complete within 3 years)

Responsibilities

  • Assist Relationship Managers with the administration of their assigned book of business, providing quality service and efficient, accurate, and timely account administration.
  • Maintain timely written, verbal, and electronic communication with Relationship Managers and external contacts, where required.
  • Keep informed about general investment procedures and philosophies.
  • Proficiently use all software and internal technology.
  • Assist Relationship Managers in ensuring all account administration is performed in accordance with the terms of governing documents, relevant legislation, client needs, company policy, and department objectives.
  • Understand the Team’s service standards and the need for operational consistency, continuous improvement, and high-quality client service.
  • Ensure all account information on internal systems is up to date, complete, and accurate.
  • Provide training to new employees, assist others, and provide back-up relief to other positions as required.
