We are currently seeking an Accounting Clerk (Trust Administrator) to join our Vancouver team in our accounting department. This position is for a team player who is proactive with a strong work ethic, can handle a busy workload, and who has a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong client service focus, the ability to multi-task, have solid analytical and organizational skills, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

  • 2 years+ accounting experience
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Client service oriented and team player
  • Willingness to learn and grow, take on new responsibilities as needed
  • Ability to excel in a high volume, fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of law firm billing processes and understanding of legal billing software is highly desirable (e.g., Elite or 3E)
  • Experience in a legal environment is highly desirable
  • Experience in Trust would be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Post disbursements such as Copitrak, BC Online, LTSA and levies
  • Take on trust-related tasks including depositing and disbursing trust funds in accordance with Law Society rules
  • Follow accounting policies and procedures
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Collaborating with colleagues across Canada to complete Trust related requests
