About The Position

Nelson Mullins, an AmLaw 100 Firm, is seeking a Trust Accounting Specialist to join the Accounting Department in our Columbia office. In this role, you will help support trust accounting needs across the firm’s nationwide footprint. In this role you will manage a broad range of trust accounting activities, including responding to inquiries; processing and posting trust deposits and payments; handling checks and wire transfers; completing reconciliations; and monitoring online banking. You will join an engaged team where priorities move quickly and opportunities to learn are part of the work.

Requirements

• At least three years of accounting experience
• Comfortable managing a high volume of trust deposits
• Ability to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and bank representatives
• Accuracy
• Sound judgment
• Strong commitment to client service
• Dependable team member with a strong work ethic
• Interest in continued learning

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Relevant work experience will also be considered
• Law firm experience is a plus
