The Truss Operations Manager oversees the key administrative and operational functions, including: operations, training and development, problem solving and process improvement. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Lumber, Truss, or a related field.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, including: Work, Outlook, Excel, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Sunpro products and services, especially with regards to Truss.
  • Production management experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) as well as strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

  • Able to function effectively as part of a high-performance production team.
  • Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment.
  • Demonstrate initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.
  • Develop and improve Truss division processes, including but not limited to: Lean manufacturing, Dispatch, Design, and Inventory Management.
  • Manage data to help drive continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate problem solving activities to drive root-cause, sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence of problems.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment.
  • Assist as needed with attracting talented individuals, employee hiring, terminating, and orientation.
  • Assist Location Managers in training and development of Truss employees.
  • Set training standards and procedures that focus on production.
  • Work with Truss employees to create and achieve their Individual Development Plans.
  • Provide location management during times when location manager is not available.
  • Ensure compliance with all operations safety requirements.
  • Adhere to standards of conduct as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by location management.
