About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a trumpet teacher to teach students of varying ages and skill levels in an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment. The teacher builds positive relationships with students and parents through regular communication, goal-setting, and progress updates; partners with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention; and uses musical expertise to inspire students and support their growth. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The listed pay is $12.77 per hour for non-teaching work, plus $11–$28 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience, especially on trumpet.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching experience with related instruments.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments: banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
