About The Position

The Truck Washer cleans and maintains the interior and exterior of company trucks so vehicles are clean, presentable, and sanitary. The role supports daily operations by maintaining truck cleanliness and upkeep in accordance with company standards, biosecurity requirements, and safety procedures. The position is in the Transportation Department at Select Genetics in Goldsboro, North Carolina, and reports to the Logistics Division Manager.

Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning procedures.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail.
• Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and other team members.
• Ability to follow workplace safety procedures when handling cleaning products and equipment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in truck washing, vehicle detailing, sanitation, or general cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean the exterior of company trucks, removing dirt, debris, and other buildup.
• Clean truck interiors, including floors, surfaces, windows, and other designated areas.
• Operate pressure washers, hoses, cleaning equipment, and other tools as needed.
• Use cleaning products and chemicals according to product instructions and company safety procedures.
• Inspect vehicles after cleaning to confirm they meet cleanliness standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe truck-washing area.
• Store cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment properly after use.
• Follow company policies and procedures related to biosecurity and equipment use.
• Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, vehicle concerns, safety concerns, damaged equipment, and other issues promptly to the appropriate supervisor.
• Work efficiently and manage assigned cleaning responsibilities to meet operational needs and complete duties within the established work schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
