About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Truck Washer to join our team at US Foods in Lexington, SC. This role is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of our fleet. As a Truck Washer, you will be responsible for washing the exterior of tractors and the interior of trailers, moving equipment, and performing basic maintenance checks. You will work outdoors in various weather conditions and temperatures, ensuring our vehicles are in top shape. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations.
  • Valid state Driver's License.
  • Ability to drive and operate Fleet equipment, tractor, trailer, and service vehicles.
  • Ability to work Sunday - Thursday PM shift.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Must be able to frequently climb up to Thermo-King units.
  • Must be able to communicate with co-workers and drivers with demonstrated teamwork skills.
  • Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Must have Computer experience.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed.
  • Standing, walking, driving, lifting up to 80 pounds, pushing & pulling, twisting, climbing, stooping/squatting, bending, reaching overhead.

Responsibilities

  • Wash the exterior of tractors and the interior of trailers.
  • Move equipment around the truck yard.
  • Check oil, wash windows, and check tire pressures on tractors and Thermo-King units.
  • Maintain proper fluid levels in tractors and T-K units.
  • Report any service issues to the maintenance shop.
  • Log in and out of the ShopFax maintenance system to track assigned jobs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with all safety rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Attend all required company meetings and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with EPA and OSHA regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet.
  • Work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Climb up to Thermo-King units.
  • Communicate with co-workers and drivers, demonstrating teamwork skills.
  • Perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Utilize computer systems for job tracking.
  • Work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
  • Work overtime when needed.
