About The Position

The Truck Washer position is responsible for maintaining a clean fleet of trucks and trailers through regular washing and detailing. This role involves utilizing various cleaning tools and agents to ensure the fleet is presentable and meets safety standards. The position also requires attention to detail in reporting documentation and any excessive damage or filth to management. Additionally, the Truck Washer will assist with basic maintenance tasks and adhere to lean production principles.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• Ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
• Self-starter that takes initiative.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
• Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Pressure washing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Utilize water, cleaning agents, pressure washers, scrubbers, etc. to maintain a clean fleet.
• Wash the outside of trucks.
• Detail the inside of trucks.
• Fill out sheets to report missing required documents for the safety department.
• Report excessive damage/filth to management.
• Help with oil and tire changes.
• Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.
