About The Position

The Truck Wash Crew Leader supports daily operations of the truck wash and bio-dry facilities at Seaboard Foods’ Alden, Iowa location. The role ensures that sanitation, inspection, scheduling, and operational procedures are followed. The Crew Leader creates wash and bio-dry schedules, enforces procedures, supports and trains team members, inspects equipment, maintains facility records, and safely operates specified vehicles and equipment. Work hours and days are established according to departmental needs and management discretion; after-hours work, weekends, and overnight travel may be requested.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Substantial general work experience and comprehensive job-related experience in the area of expertise, sufficient to reach a fully competent level.
Clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds, and sometimes push and/or move up to 300 pounds.
Required vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Create daily and weekly truck wash and bio-dry schedules to meet the requirements of live haul, mortality reclaim, maintenance, and production operations.
Ensure team members follow proper washing and bio-dry procedures in accordance with company guidelines.
Submit facility and equipment maintenance items promptly and contact appropriate personnel.
Interact with, assist, and train truck wash team members as needed.
Properly inspect all equipment washed at the facility.
Complete daily wash logs, bio-dry logs, and other truck wash reports as directed by management.
Safely operate a shag truck and skid steer, and ensure each receives a daily inspection before use.
