The Truck Unloader moves route vehicles to the loading dock, unloads soiled linen, returns the vehicle, hangs bags of soiled linen on a rail or conveyor system, sorts linens into different bins, and transfers them to other departments or areas of the facility. The role may also involve other production tasks as needed. Most work is performed outside at the loading dock in production areas of an industrial laundry facility, where conditions may include varying temperatures, odors, humidity, lint, and dust. Soiled linens come from customers such as restaurants, hotels, medical facilities, and shops. No travel or education is required. Alsco Uniforms describes itself as a worldwide leader in uniform and linen rental, serving more than 350,000 customers in 13 countries.
