About The Position

The Truck Unloader is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers and following the company’s customer experience principles. The role helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe store while adhering to operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards. The associate may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs and completes other duties as assigned.

The position supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; follows established procedures for customer transactions, merchandising, merchandise processing, store recovery, and shrink reduction; and provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback. The starting pay range is $13.00 to $13.50 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers while embodying customer experience principles and practices.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and participate in upkeep of the entire store.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
