About The Position

The company is expanding its Service Department and seeks a motivated Truck & Trailer Technician based out of its Indianapolis office. The technician receives reports from drivers and owner-operators, inspects and diagnoses vehicle problems, and performs maintenance and repairs on medium- and heavy-duty trucks. The role focuses on returning equipment to service efficiently and cost-effectively while following Charger safety procedures.

Requirements

• Valid G-class driver’s license with a clear driving record.
• Knowledge of truck parts, equipment, and truck repairs.
• Effective problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand issues and find timely solutions.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

Nice To Haves

• 310T and/or 310J licenses.
• Knowledge of DOT/MTO rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive reports from drivers and owner-operators and conduct initial inspections to diagnose problems, using test drives and test instruments as needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
• Perform air and hydraulic brake repairs, warranty procedures, steering and suspension work, and electrical diagnostics.
• Clean, repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Return equipment to operation in the most efficient and cost-effective manner available.
• Perform all tasks according to Charger safety procedures.
