About The Position

Charger Logistics Inc. is an asset-based carrier with locations across North America and over 20 years of experience providing logistics solutions. The company supports employee learning and growth and welcomes individual ideas and strategies. It is expanding its Service Department and seeks a motivated Truck & Trailer Technician for its Indianapolis office.

The technician diagnoses, maintains, repairs, and reconditions medium- and heavy-duty trucks and related equipment. The role includes inspecting reported problems, performing preventative maintenance and repairs, and returning equipment to service efficiently and cost-effectively while following Charger safety procedures.

Requirements

• Valid G-class driver’s license with a clear driving record.
• Knowledge of truck parts, equipment, and truck repairs.
• Effective problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand issues and find solutions in a timely manner.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

Nice To Haves

• 310T and/or 310J licenses.
• Knowledge of DOT/MTO rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive driver and owner/operator reports and conduct initial inspections to diagnose problems, using test drives and test instruments such as pressure gauges and motor analyzers.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Perform air and hydraulic brake repairs, warranty procedures, steering and suspension work, and electrical diagnostics on medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
• Clean, repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Return equipment to service in the most efficient and cost-effective manner available.
• Perform all tasks according to Charger safety procedures.
