About The Position

The Experienced Truck Technician / Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high standards. This role directly supports customer success by keeping trucks running smoothly and maximizing uptime. Daily tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, identifying solutions, and restoring trucks to peak performance. Work may involve repairing or rebuilding major components such as cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems. The technician will have opportunities to improve skills while working with other trained technicians in a fully equipped shop.

Requirements

2 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
Basic computer knowledge.
Self-motivation and assertiveness.
Ability to work under little or no supervision.
Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
Must provide own tools.
Diesel tech degree and a mechanical aptitude/background will also be accepted.

Nice To Haves

Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
Cummins and MX software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintaining and repairing medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks.
