About The Position

Pape’ Kenworth, a premier medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer in the West, is seeking an Experienced Truck Technician to join their team. This role involves maintaining and repairing medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high standards. The technician will diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, repair or rebuild major components, and work in a fully equipped shop alongside other trained technicians. Requirements

2 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks.
Experience with engine repair, electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
Basic computer knowledge.
Self-motivation and assertiveness.
Ability to work under little or no supervision.
Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
Must provide own tools.

Nice To Haves

Diesel tech degree and a mechanical aptitude/background.
Kenworth Essentials certifications.
Cummins and MX software experience.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues on medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks.
Repair or rebuild major components such as cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems.
Maintain and repair medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high standards.
Support customer success by keeping their trucks running smoothly and maximizing uptime.
