Truck Mechanic
About The Position
Farris Motor Company, a family-owned dealership since 1930 and one of East Tennessee's busiest service departments, is seeking an experienced Truck Mechanic. This role offers full-time, year-round work with consistent opportunities to maximize earnings. You will have a steady flow of repair orders working on heavy-duty pickups, light-duty trucks, fleet vehicles, and gas and diesel trucks, handling both customer-pay and warranty repairs.
Requirements
- Truck repair experience preferred
- Diesel experience is a plus but not required
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- ASE Certifications are a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality repairs
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel trucks
- Perform engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brake, cooling system, electrical, and HVAC repairs
- Perform Multi-Point Inspections (MPI)
- Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Work with service advisors to provide outstanding customer service
