About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Truck Mechanic to join our Equipment team working the second shift Tuesday - Friday 11AM - 8 PM Saturday 7AM - 5PM. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment issues, as well as performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance. As a key member of our Equipment division, the Mechanic will work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective use of company resources.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a construction setting
• Strong technical skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Experience using equipment maintenance or repair software preferred
• A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work on company equipment, including heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, and develop solutions to resolve them
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
• Ensure that all equipment-related activities are carried out in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Manage relationships with vendors and equipment manufacturers, negotiating contracts and resolving any issues in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain equipment-related reports and metrics, and communicate equipment-related information to stakeholders
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in equipment maintenance and repair
• Other duties as assigned
