About The Position
Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. is hiring a Truck Maintenance I employee for its Riverside Division. The role involves maintaining and repairing heavy-duty diesel and gasoline trucks and equipment. The employee performs scheduled maintenance and repairs, assists other team members, and may occasionally provide roadside assistance. The position requires working overhead and underneath equipment and handling heavy objects. Work takes place in outdoor weather conditions and involves moderate noise and dust.
Requirements
- Two years of experience in heavy-duty diesel and gasoline truck repair and equipment maintenance.
- Valid California Driver's License.
- Ability to safely drive forklifts.
- Ability to change oil and filters on engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and differentials.
- Knowledge of how to use tools safely to complete the job.
Responsibilities
- Change oil and filters on engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and differentials, and lubricate chassis.
- Replace brakes; mount and dismount tires; replace hydraulic hoses and cylinders; and remove and replace air valves.
- Check and repair lights and truck fluids according to schedule.
- Assist others and occasionally perform roadside assistance.
- Follow safety rules and keep the work area clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Inspect truck pre-maintenance inspection forms and complete forms.
