About The Position

This role involves loading chemicals into or from various containers such as tank trailers and rail cars. The position requires the ability to work around various chemicals and may involve operating a track mobile to spot rail cars or assist truck drivers. Attention to detail is crucial for verifying numbers, completing paperwork, and ensuring safety regulations are met.

Requirements

Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be physically able to work around various chemicals.
Must be able to wear respiratory protective equipment when required.
Requires standing on feet most of the work day, climbing ladders, bending, squatting and stooping.

Responsibilities

Load chemicals into or from tank trailer, rail cars or various containers.
Operate track mobile to spot rail cars or assist truck drivers to spot tractor trailers for loading/filling containers.
Verify tank cars, rail cars, tanker trucks numbers with loading instructions to ensure accurate placement of cars and trucks.
Connect ground cables to eliminate static electricity.
Inspect tanks, cars and trucks for leaks or damage.
Complete all placard requirements as per D.O.T. sealing of values as required.
Sample as required and delivery to lab.
Complete paperwork required by plant policies and procedures as well as Department of Transportation and OSHA Regulations.
