About The Position

The Truck Jockey backs trucks to the appropriate dock doors and checks that each truck is functioning properly and its temperature is set appropriately for the route. The role also includes other duties assigned by a supervisor, manager, or other management. The position involves making independent decisions about which dock door to use and whether a truck is operating well enough to perform its route.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Ability to drop and hook trailers.
Ability to perform duties properly in a fast-paced environment.
Skills in managing work, adaptability, building trust, follow-up, and communication.
Ability to lift products up to 50 pounds, with infrequent lifting up to 80 pounds.
Ability to climb on and off the truck box.
Frequent bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience preferred.
Class A Commercial Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

Back trucks to the dock at the correct door.
Ensure truck temperatures are set appropriately and operating properly for the route.
Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.
Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
