About The Position
Doman Lumber is seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver to join our team. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials to our customers and job sites. Position Summary: The CDL Driver will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles, including an 18-wheeler and, on occasion, a bobtail truck with an attached Moffett. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and efficiency in loading and unloading materials at various delivery locations, including residential job sites.
Requirements
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Experience operating a Moffett (forklift) required
- Ability to lift and handle building materials as needed
- Strong attention to safety and detail
Nice To Haves
- Spanish-speaking skills are a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Safely operate an 18-wheeler for daily deliveries
- Operate a bobtail truck with Moffett as needed
- Load and unload materials at customer locations, including residential sites
- Ensure proper handling and securement of all loads
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Provide professional and courteous customer service
