About The Position

Penske Logistics is hiring full-time Class A Floater Truck Drivers. Drivers work across different routes and assignments, making no-touch, drop-and-hook deliveries in late-model Penske Truck Leasing 53-foot automatic day-cab tractors designed for comfort. Drivers are expected to operate safely and efficiently, maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers, and represent Penske and its clients. The position is home daily and offers $25.50 per hour, overtime after 40 hours, average annual earnings of $92,820, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and additional safety and performance incentives of up to $6,600 annually. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 12 PM to 12 AM, for 60 hours per week.

Drivers are subject to Department of Transportation or company safety-sensitive requirements and must remain alert and work safely.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL; applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
• Currently hold, or be able to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
• At least 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience within the last 5 years.
• Three-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• English language proficiency, as required for compliance with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)).
• Ability to work the required schedule and at the specified location, complete a Penske employment application, and submit to a background investigation and drug screening.
• Ability to remain in a constant state of alertness and work safely, accepting responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.
• Ability to see and hear, including close, distance, peripheral and depth vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to move frequently, stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter and exit the vehicle and rear cargo area.
