About The Position

Drives a truck with a capacity of more than 3 tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations. The role requires safe, timely deliveries, maintaining the truck and required records, and communicating with the supervisor and Customer Service. Interactions with Harborlite employees and customer shipping and receiving personnel must be professional, courteous, and respectful. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• One-year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Interact professionally, courteously, and respectfully with Harborlite employees and customer shipping and receiving personnel.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance and delivery unit.
• Deliver materials to customers safely and on time.
• Inspect the truck for defects before and after trips and submit reports on its condition.
• Maintain a driver log according to state and federal regulations.
• Perform or obtain emergency roadside repairs as necessary.
• Maintain communication with the supervisor.
• Return delivery paperwork to Customer Service with appropriate signatures and dates.
