About The Position

Echo Electric, a Sonepar-owned electrical distribution brand, is hiring a customer-oriented Driver/Warehouse Associate in Bloomington, Illinois. The associate ensures safe, efficient, and courteous delivery of electrical supplies, materials, and parts, and assists with general warehouse duties when not driving. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The starting rate is $20–$22 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Have a Class B license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
Successfully complete driver qualifications required by Department of Transportation regulations, including a pre-employment physical examination, regularly scheduled follow-up physical examinations, and proof of a safe driving record.
Be able to climb into and drive delivery vehicles.
Be able to unload materials at customer sites, including heavy and bulky items.
Be willing to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and power tools, and to use push carts and rolling ladders.
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
Be able to stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse, with or without accommodation.
Have basic problem-solving and computer skills.

Responsibilities

Drive company trucks safely and carefully, complying with traffic laws, legal speed limits, and safety protocols.
Deliver electrical supplies, materials, and parts safely, efficiently, and courteously.
Load and unload materials accurately, efficiently, and safely, using proper body mechanics and equipment such as a forklift.
Pick, pack, and ship orders ranging from small boxes to pallets.
Assist with general warehouse duties when not driving.
Provide associates with possible solutions or appropriate contact information when problems arise.
Report observations about customer opportunities and problems to the Warehouse Manager.
