This position is responsible for driving a Salvation Army truck along a scheduled route to pick up donations and/or deliver merchandise to customers. The driver must operate the truck in compliance with established Salvation Army standards and state driving regulations. Responsibilities include lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading a variety of donations such as furniture, appliances, and clothing, while ensuring the safety, security, and accountability of the vehicle and donations. The role also involves assisting with tasks in the thrift store and warehouse, including receiving, sorting, pricing, and preparing donated items for display. This includes determining the suitability and pricing of items based on established standards and maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area.
