About The Position

This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service by assisting customers with purchases and donations, operating a cash register, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate sales records. The role also involves receiving, sorting, and preparing donated items for display or storage, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store and warehouse areas.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • Experience working in a retail environment preferred
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent walking, bending, and lifting
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate cash register, process sales transactions, and balance cash drawer
  • Assist customers with purchases, donations, and general inquiries to ensure a positive experience
  • Sort, inspect, tag, and prepare donated goods for resale or disposal according to standards
  • Stock and organize merchandise displays, ensuring store presentation remains clean and orderly
  • Maintain cleanliness of store and warehouse, including floors, shelves, and work areas
