About The Position
Penske Logistics is hiring drivers for a local Class A Truck Driver position. This role involves delivering palletized product to local grocery stores, with pallet breakdowns not required. Drivers will operate late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks equipped with safety features like inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras. The position offers multiple schedules with PM start times and an additional incentive for picking up a 5th and/or 6th day. Pay is distributed weekly, and most driving positions are home daily.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Complete Penske employment application
- Submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history)
- Submit to a drug screening
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Responsibilities
- Deliver palletized product to local grocery stores
- Operate late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks
- Ensure safety for all through the use of in-cab cameras
- Legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit the vehicle and cargo area
- Accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others
