Truck Driver - Class A Hazmat - Penske Logistics
About The Position
This position requires the driver to travel regionally to work at various locations as needed within the network. Perform multi-stop deliveries of automotive parts and supplies to retail stores. Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and hand carts. Miles, stops, and routes will vary based on coverage needs. Drivers should expect to be away from their home domicile based on assignment needs. Flexibility is required to cover various routes and assignments throughout the network. You will drive late model, Penske maintained trucks, 48' and 53' trailers, automatic day-cab trucks, and dry vans and straight trucks. These trucks have best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety and are equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- English language proficiency
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area

Responsibilities

- Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening
- Maintain a constant state of alertness and operate in a safe manner
- Accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others
