About The Position

Penske Logistics is seeking full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers for immediate opportunities. This is a flex position requiring travel, including out-of-state assignments. Drivers will deliver auto parts and supplies to retail stores, perform multi-stop deliveries and transfers, and handle touch freight using various equipment. The role involves using a scanner for inventory management and completing drop & hook operations. Drivers will operate late model, Penske-maintained trucks equipped with advanced safety features.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• English language proficiency is required
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Deliver auto parts and supplies to retail stores
• Travel regionally and to out-of-state distribution centers as needed
• Perform multi-stop deliveries and transfers
• Handle touch freight using electric/manual pallet jacks, hand carts, and totes
• Unload trailers using lift gates and material-handling equipment
• Use a scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
• Complete drop & hook operations as assigned
