About The Position

First-McNess Company is hiring a full-time CDL Truck Driver for our Lodi, WI location. This role involves operating a company CDL vehicle, assisting with unloading when required, completing backhauls, and representing the company with professionalism at customer sites. Drivers play a key role in supporting our customers, food safety standards, and overall supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record
  • Strong safety awareness and customer service mindset
  • Comfortable with mobile technology, ELDs, and routing applications
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate equipment issues clearly
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., and occasionally handle additional feed bags, depending on the truck type

Responsibilities

  • Operate company CDL vehicle according to company schedule to deliver products to customers
  • Report any problems encountered with delivery or customers to Manager or designee, immediately
  • Complete occasional overnight trips using sleeper berths
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections using an Electronic Logging Device (ELD)
  • Load, move, and unload product as required, including use of pallet jacks
  • Communicate delivery status, delays, or issues using mobile applications
  • Complete required paperwork, mileage reports, and fuel/receipt documentation
  • Perform backhauls when required after deliveries
  • Maintain clean, safe, and orderly equipment and work areas
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety, food safety, and biosecurity procedures
  • Report vehicle maintenance or repair needs promptly
  • Represent Furst-McNess with professionalism and strong customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned
