About The Position

NC Machinery is opening a new location in Bellingham, Washington, and is seeking a safety and customer-focused Class A CDL Truck Driver. This role involves preparing, loading, and transporting equipment to and from customer sites and rental yards. The driver will also provide training and instructional guidance on the safe operation of the equipment. This is a physically demanding job that requires attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety. The driver must be willing to communicate and cooperate with customers, respond to their questions, and operate the delivery vehicle in compliance with company and DOT guidelines. Experience with commercial vehicles is essential for identifying and ensuring timely maintenance or repairs with minimal disruption.

Requirements

A CDL-A is required.
Ability to drive a standard transmission is required.
At least two years of driving experience or completion of a Truck Driver training school course.
Dependable, responsible, and committed to safe vehicle operation and timely equipment pickup and delivery.
No preventable accidents, license suspensions, alcohol-related violations, or other moving violations in the past 3 years.
A High School or G.E.D. is required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in heavy equipment delivery is preferred.
Experience in the rental industry is desired.

Responsibilities

Preparing equipment for transport.
Loading and unloading equipment from delivery vehicles.
Transporting equipment to and from customer sites and rental yards.
Providing training and instructional direction on the safe use of equipment.
Communicating and cooperating with customers, responding to their questions.
Safely operating delivery vehicles in compliance with company and DOT guidelines, rules, and regulations.
Identifying the need for repairs and/or maintenance on commercial vehicles and ensuring these are accomplished.
Maintaining a strong commitment to safety.
