About The Position
S&S Tire is seeking a CDL Endorsement A/B Truck Driver for its Morehead, Kentucky manufacturing plant. The position works in a manufacturing environment at a Bandag retread tire facility, where commercial truck tires are retreaded using manual and automated processes. The role requires recent DOT/CDL driving experience and includes warehouse loading and unloading, forklift operation, and route delivery with professional customer interaction. The position offers an hourly starting wage of $22, depending on experience, with consistent overtime. S&S Tire is headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, and operates commercial locations, wholesale distribution centers, and Bandag retread facilities across 11 southeastern states. The company employs more than 650 people and operates a fleet of more than 300 service and delivery vehicles.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of verifiable commercial vehicle driving experience involving vehicles over 10,000 pounds.
- A Class B CDL in good standing.
- A good motor vehicle record, with no more than 3 violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-service-oriented environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Forklift and warehousing skills.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Responsibilities
