About The Position

CXI Trucking is seeking an experienced local LTL driver for pickup and delivery work in Melrose Park, Illinois. The role is a day-shift position, with drivers home every night and every weekend. The starting pay is $26.00 per hour, with paid overtime. Applicants must have Hazmat and Tankers endorsements at the time of application. Requirements

Be at least 23 years of age.
Have 2 years of verifiable experience driving a Class C straight truck.
Have no more than 1 at-fault (preventable) accident in the last year.
Hold a valid Class B license.
Have Hazmat and Tankers endorsements at the time of application.
Be able to safely lift 70 pounds.

Nice To Haves

A clean motor vehicle record (MVR).

Responsibilities

Operate the vehicle safely at all times.
Comply with DOT driver-log requirements and conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Label, sign, and handle shipments according to DOT regulations and CXI Trucking procedures.
Verify that loads, equipment, and hazardous materials are secured before transportation.
Use a pallet jack, two-wheel hand truck, and lift-gate to assist with pickup and delivery operations.
Read maps or use a GPS unit effectively.
Communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally.
