About The Position

Oakhurst Dairy is hiring a local delivery driver with a Class B CDL for its Portland, Maine team. The role involves independently managing daily delivery routes that depart from and return to the Portland work location, with no overnight routes and home time every day. Drivers work a four-day schedule with weekends off. Start times are generally between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., depending on the route and driver preferences. The position offers starting compensation of $1,500 per week based on skills and experience, a $2,500 sign-on bonus after six months of employment, and an annual safety bonus of up to $1,000. Oakhurst provides company-owned equipment, a continually upgraded fleet with liftgates and automatic transmissions, and local on-site fleet maintenance and management support. Requirements

Valid Class B CDL.
Existing DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
Operational knowledge of Hours-of-Service rules and regulations.
Ability to perform safe pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT standards.
Good communication skills and ability to interact positively with customers.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely climb in and out of the vehicle cargo box.
Ability to operate handheld/mobile computers used to process sales and delivery documents.
Ability to reliably commute to the Portland, Maine work location.
One year of driving experience is preferred.
