About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL truck driver in Dayton, Ohio. This is a local, home-daily driving role delivering solo to Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. The route uses a day-cab tractor and a 53-foot dry van, carrying no-touch auto-parts freight. Strong backing skills are required. Drivers must be open to an AM or PM start time because scheduling is determined by a bid system. The schedule is Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday. Drivers earn a weekly guarantee of $1,355. The position also offers a $2,000 shutdown bonus during the first year and a safety bonus of up to $250 per quarter, if applicable. Ryder provides well-maintained trucks that are 36 months old or newer, 24/7 roadside maintenance, and fueling at more than 800 nationwide maintenance locations. Drivers make safety decisions on the road, with job protection for those decisions. Ryder offers medical, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days; PTO accrual starting on day one; uniforms and a boot allowance; a 401(k) rollover option and company match after one year; paid maternity leave subject to eligibility criteria; employee discounts; and driver referral bonuses.
