About The Position

NFI is hiring CDL-A truck drivers for its dedicated dry van fleet, with local and regional route opportunities. Drivers handle dedicated freight using no-touch, drop-and-hook runs and driver-assisted tailgate deliveries, with dependable miles and consistent home time. The position uses late-model trucks equipped with advanced safety technology, collision mitigation systems, and navigation. NFI shops maintain approximately 60% of its trucks and trailers.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a current Class A CDL issued by the driver's state of residence.
• Have at least one year of relevant tractor-trailer experience.
• Provide acceptable references from past employers.
• Meet all applicable DOT qualifications.
• Be physically capable of performing the job duties, including frequent moving, standing, walking, and sitting; using hands to touch, handle, and feel; reaching with hands and arms; regularly lifting or moving up to 50 lbs/23 kg; and occasionally lifting or moving up to 100 lbs/45 kg.
• Be legally able to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Operate a truck safely and responsibly.
• Follow applicable federal and state laws and regulations, as well as customer rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Perform routes, pickups, and deliveries according to customer requirements.
• Report equipment problems, accidents, traffic violations, and damage before, during, and after routes.
• Safely and frequently enter and exit the vehicle and rear cargo area.
• Perform driver-assisted tailgate deliveries.
