About The Position

RMS Truck Bodies is expanding its team and seeking an experienced mechanic, technician, or fabricator, or someone eager to train and grow. This role involves working with hydraulic systems on custom truck bodies in a supportive, team-driven shop that values safety, skill, and career growth. The position offers competitive compensation and a Monday-Friday schedule.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Mechanical aptitude, ability to use power tools

Nice To Haves

• Experience with hydraulics
• Light welding/fabrication experience
• 12V electrical experience (will train the right candidate)

Responsibilities

• Install, plumb, and commission hydraulic equipment on truck bodies (pumps, valves, cylinders, PTOs)
• Perform light welding/fabrication mounting and fit-up of equipment & accessories
• Route hoses and wiring, perform basic 12V electrical hook ups and testing
• Read/use build sheets, drawings and spec sheets. Verify parts and configurations
• Troubleshoot hydraulic/mechanical issues and complete quality repairs
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain an organized work area
• Accurately document work performed
• Other duties as assigned
