This is a Day-Shift Troubleshooter position with a 3-2-2-3 rotating schedule, consisting of 12-hour shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM. The starting rate of pay is $60.78 per hour. Troubleshooters generally work as a single-person crew, performing work on energized and de-energized lines and equipment at all voltage levels using approved methods, equipment, and tools. Responsibilities include identifying and isolating faulty primary and secondary equipment, operating switching devices on overhead and URD systems, working with Field Electricians, clearing faulty and unsafe conditions, maintaining and restoring electrical service, connecting/disconnecting/operating portable transformers, generators, and temporary primary jumpers to restore service under emergency conditions, working with the Substation group to connect mobile substations, replacing failed transformers, replacing damaged or faulty services, repairing and re-energizing primary lines, performing street light installation and repair, installing and removing protective covers, performing overhead and underground inspections and patrols, performing security and emergency inspections of substations, making current and voltage measurements, directing the work of other Lineworkers during emergencies, and applying standards and safe operating practices. The role also involves operating and adjusting overhead and pad-mounted controlled equipment inspections.
