About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a music educator to teach trombone lessons and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels. They build relationships with students and parents through communication, goal-setting, and progress updates, and partner with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching.

The listed pay is $12.00 per hour for non-teaching work, plus a teaching rate of $10–$20 per hour depending on background and experience. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, location, and other factors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience, especially on trombone.

Nice To Haves

• Further teaching experience with low brass or related instruments.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments.
